Alyssa was born and raised in Kansas, about 40 minutes south of Kansas City. She attended MidAmerica Nazarene University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Intercultural Studies. Alyssa has a heart for missions and has traveled internationally to Guatemala, Ethiopia, Peru, Chile, Argentina. She also has a heart for youth ministry and has led many youth mission trips for LeaderTreks over the years (the most recent one being the gsYOUTH trip to Kansas City). Alyssa loves playing music and has since she started taking piano lessons at age six. Since then, she has taught herself to play guitar, mandolin, ukulele, banjo, and really any stringed instrument. Other things Alyssa loves include: her people, coffee, reading, sports, and being outside. But more than anything Alyssa loves Jesus and is excited to use the gifts He has given her to serve Him at gracespring!!
