John has been married to the love of his life, Rhonda, for 43 years (yes, he is old). They have been attending gracespring for almost three years. They have two kids, Jake, 39, and Molly, 37. They both are married and John and Rhonda have been blessed them with seven perfect grandkids.

After 30 years of service, John is a retired business manager in the paper and packaging industry. John and Rhonda left the area almost 35 years ago, and they have joyfully come back here in retirement. John is finally putting together the woodworking shop he has always dreamed of. He loves all projects around the house, especially if it means he can avoid paying someone else to do it. He enjoys all sports and loves intentional time with his grandkids and daily prayer for their salvation. John and Rhonda met while serving as volunteers with Youth For Christ, and are still connected with the ministry to this day.

John has a heart for world missions and supporting missionaries wherever God sends them. He has been on many life changing short term mission trips and was actively involved with missionaries in Haiti for many years. In the past, he has served in the church as a High School Sunday School teacher, small group leader, on the finance committee, the pastor search committee, and with fund raising initiatives and construction projects. Rhonda expects John to open up their home when a visiting pastor or missionary needs a friendly place stay.

He is truly humbled to be considered as an Elder nominee. He feels blessed to be a part of the gracespring community and collectively working together for His Kingdom.
