Everyone needs a church where they can fully belong. It is the desire of this ministry to be a beacon of hope, acceptance, and belonging for all individuals and their families. Our specially trained volunteers will help to provide a safe and loving atmosphere for individuals who may benefit from extra support to learn and experience the love of Jesus Christ. We want each person to enjoy coming to God’s house where they can feel fully embraced by others and flourish to their greatest potential, becoming all God desires them to be. We want every individual to shine!
We have been praying for your family to join us and we are looking forward to meeting you. Our gsSHINE ministry is open for children birth to 17 years old during our Sunday services, and is available on Wednesday nights during the school year for youth group.
So that we are able to have volunteers ready and able to best support you or your family, it is important to fill out the form via the button below. Please note that at this time we are not able to take first time guests into gsSHINE without first meeting so that we can be sure to provide intentional and appropriate support!
We currently have a full running program for children and have just begun to have supports in the youth group on Wednesday nights. We are very much looking forward to growing this ministry to reach all age levels!

A gsSHINE room in our Early Childhood wing, as well as two gsSHINE rooms and a dedciated Calming Room in our Elementary wing to support an enhanced sensory-minded experience.
A modified kid’s curriculum that teaches children about God in a way they can understand. This curriculum has different levels of learning based on the need of each child.
An individualized plan for each child that can support staying in one of our gsSHINE rooms full time, having 1:1 support to be in their grade level classroom, or something in between!
Visual cards/core boards when needed to support communication with each child.
An adult changing table if needed.
For those who desire to spend time in our auditorium services and are seeking sensory support, there are Sensory Bags available at our Welcome Center in our lobby!
We would do our best to find a volunteer that could be able to be with your child.
No, you would have to fill out a request form and brief paperwork to be able to find the right volunteer for your child.
A separate room for individuals to take a sensory break or a mental health break with qualified volunteers. This could look like taking time to listen, praying for the youth, a quiet space, or a sensory break.
Anyone who is not able to attend or struggles to attend a Sunday program, whether that is due to a medical diagnosis, mobility issue, cognitive impairment, autism, behavioral issue, mental health struggle, separation anxiety, trauma, transition due to foster care/adoption, and more. Please inquire if you are not sure if this would be a fit for you or your family!
