  • 4, 6, 8 hours of time away per month
  • Weekend away annually
  • Sabbatical every seven years

How to Turn Your Brain Off

  • Wrapping a though in a bubble and releasing it to the sky
  • 'Cente'ring prayer' and having an 'anchor phrase' to help bring you into the moment
  •      Inhale with "Lord Jesus"; exhale with "I'm here"
  • Have a notepad to jot things down if you're distracted or worried that you will forget
  • Come in without expectations

Physical Space to be with Jesus on the Daily

  • A space in your house is what will most likely work
  • Prayer closets
  • Downstairs away from everyone else
  • A specific chair that creates peace
  • Being up early before everyone else
  • Staying up later after everyone else

Soul Care Days

  • Not at your home and not at your job if you can help it
  • Nature trail (like Bow in the Clouds off Nazareth)
  • Forest
  • Hiking
  • Different churches in the community
  • Cabins or spaces that others may also be able to offer
